Adding a Report Management Widget to the Dashboard

Report management is a crucial aspect of communicating business results, issues, and risks. It is typically used by managers to convey important information to other managers, executive management, or governance bodies. The Report Management Widget in AIV allows you to schedule reports on a Monthly, Daily, Weekly, or Normal basis.

To add a Report Management Widget to the dashboard, begin by clicking on the Component icon from the dashboard’s list. This action will open a configuration box, as illustrated in the figure below:

Next, choose the report type from the dropdown list. The options available include Normal, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. After selecting your desired report type, proceed to adjust various properties by clicking on the settings icon.

If you select Monthly as the report type, the widget will display all 12 months, from January to December, enabling you to schedule reports accordingly. After you have configured your report management settings, the report will be displayed on the dashboard, as shown below:

At this stage, select the dataset you wish to use from the dropdown list. Afterward, adjust the mappings according to your needs, following the layout in the figure provided:

This figure demonstrates how the report’s Annotation Mapping, Status, and Owner’s Name appear within the widget. Once your configurations are complete, generate the report, and then download it.

The widget will also display the date and time the report was last generated, along with any comments that have been added. Finally, to save all your changes, click the Save button located in the top right corner of the dashboard.

By following these steps, you will have successfully added and configured a Report Management Widget on your AIV dashboard.
