Section Widget

Introduction

The Section Widget serves as a powerful container that allows you to select reports section within a single view. It enables users to seamlessly switch between different report folders and run or view report side by side, making it ideal for comparative analysis, and unified report navigation.

Overview

Use the Section Widget when you want to:

  • Show specific fields like file names, owners, or versions from a dataset
  • Create summary views or metadata previews
  • Combine multiple report sections in one visual

This widget acts as a container to:

  • Switch between different report folders
  • View report output side by side

How to Create a Section Widget

  1. Click on the Section Widget icon from left navigation bar.

  1. A new screen will appear for configuring your section widget.

Configuring the Widget

  1. Choose report from Select Section dropdown.

  1. Choose fields to show from Select Columns dropdown.

  1. Finalize & Save

    • Click Publish (paper plane icon)
    • Click Save (disk icon)

  2. Once you publish the report, locate it and double-click to run it. A schedule dialog box will appear, allowing you to select any available parameters. After selecting the desired parameters (if applicable), run the report, and the results will be displayed on the right side.
