Edit a Dataset in AIV

This guide walks you through editing datasets in AIV. You can modify query logic, output columns, and other settings to adapt datasets to changing requirements.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

A dataset must already exist in AIV
You must have edit permissions for the dataset

Steps to Edit a Dataset

Step 1: Open the Dataset for Editing

You can open a dataset for editing in any of these ways:

Double-click on the dataset in the Dataset Grid
Right-click on the dataset and select Edit Dataset
Click the three dots (⋮) on the dataset and select Edit Dataset

Step 2: Make Your Modifications

The Dataset Editor dialog opens, allowing you to modify the dataset.
Update the query, output columns, or other settings as needed.

Step 3: Preview and Save

Click Preview to verify the results before saving.
Click Update to apply your changes and save the dataset.
To discard changes, click Cancel.
